I’m trying to use keyboard shortcuts for editing in the Adobe Audition timeline and I’m having problems:

If “SHIFT-LEFT ARROW” is the keyboard shortcut for selecting anything in the waveform timeline to the left of the playhead, why isn’t “SHIFT-RIGHT ARROW” the keyboard shortcut for selecting everything to the right of the playhead?

    Instead it’s “SHIFT-CMND-RIGHT ARROW”

Ideally I’d like to be able to use just one key on the keyboard to set my in and out points just as in Premiere, but it seems much more complicated in Audition. Am I missing something? I just don’t want to have to use the mouse constantly to drag and select as I work much faster with keyboard shortcuts.

Thanks in advance for any help.

SHIFT+Left/Right Arrow creates and adjusts the in-point of a selection while SHIFT+CMD+Left/Right Arrow adjusts the out-point. If no selection exists, you’ll see the behavior you described, but once a selection exists, the distinction between the two may become more obvious.
