keyboard shortcut for typing in current time?
What shortcut will get me to the current timecode entry window in the upper right of the Canvas? (i.e. hit the shortcut, and the timecode box is highlighted, waiting for me to enter the timecode value…then hit enter to go there)

Save some keystrokes – you don’t actually need to tab to the current time field in the Canvas, just type the timecode in and the playhead will locate to it. This will also work in the Timeline as long as you don’t have any item selected.
