Keyboard shortcut for selecting clips outside primary

There isn’t one. You need to hover with the cursor and use C or X. Send feedback to apple via the Final Cut Pro menu. it’s something we should definitely have, even if it’s just using the arrow keys to jump the “select” box to another clip.

Not sure what you mean by this. You can nudge clips frame by frame by selecting them in the event browser and using the left and right arrow keys to advance one frame forward or backward in the clip.

The viewer itself doesn’t have a scrubber, but that’s just the way the program works. You scrub the filmstrip in the event browser to view the video in the viewer.

Maybe I just don’t understand what specifically you’re trying to do in X.

If you mean nudging in the Timeline:

Nudge 1 frame to the left: ,

Sorry if I wasn’t clear.

In 7 you could move a particular element that was in the canvas pixel by pixel by selecting it in the canvas and use the option+left arrow keys. It makes it more precise than using the mouse to move elements in the canvas sometimes. I haven’t found that you can do that in X yet.

If you highlight any parameter in the inspector you can then nudge nudge wink wink to your delight

I use the arrows for multitude of detailed adjustment particularly in the transform window and the color board

Hmm

So select the clip in the timeline to load it into the viewer
Highlight the parameter I want to change, lets say transform.
When I use the arrows, all it does is move the playhead left or right in the timeline

Highlight the parameter in the Inspector (click on its value) and use the Up and Down arrows to nudge.

OPTION+Up or Down arrows will increase or decrease the parameter by exactly 1 pixel.
