keyboard set up
Posted by Maria Dumey-wibbenmeyer on August 28, 2009 at 10:15 pmSome of my keys on the keyboard aren’t compatible to the avid system. When I do one thing on my keyboard the system does something else. I know there is a way to go into avid to make the keyboard and the program do the same thing. How do I go about doing that?

August 30, 2009 at 2:16 pmOn a PC, F1 will always be reserved for help. You can’t change that. Otherwise, you should disable any macros in the control panel under ‘keyboard’.
Check your keyboard settings in the Avid, and map whatever settings you need.

What exactly do you mean? Sounds to me as if you just need to double-check you keyboard mappings.

September 11, 2009 at 3:35 pmI had similar problems I solved by spending less than $100 on a Bella. It’s terrific as all the keys are marked with Avid function icons and there’s a useful jog/shuttle wheel built in.
Keep ’em flying.
