Keyboard not responding in Final Cut 5.1.1
I am using FCP 5.1.1 and I am having trouble with the keyboard. I am not able to enter or modify text in any text box in the program, if I save file as… I cant change the name from Untitled Project, also I can’t change any of the parameters by entering text. I thought this was an issue with a Wacom tablet, but I have unplugged the tabled and uninstalled the driver and it did not help. Another thing is that I can select tools with the keyboard if I press ‘P’ i get the pen tool, I just can’t enter text at all. I reinstalled FCP 5.1 and it did not help.

Have you tried restarting the computer
if that dous not work try trashing the FCP preferences -
did them both no dice

Does the keyboard work in the Finder and in other programs? Or is this just a FCP problem?
I’ve been having problems with my USB hub ever since 10.4.7 and I have to unplug the USB and plug it into the adjacent port on the back in order to get it working again.

Are any other applications open when experiencing this problem? Entourage caused keyboard problems with AE because we needed to update the software…
