    Hey guys,
I am going to shoot my first music video in 4 days and I am going to rent some gear for that.
The song is dramatic about love and death.
I have booked two Kino Flo Diva 400, but I need one more light which I can use as a key light.
Here is a link to the agency which renting the gear, they have not a big choice of light, but I am sure that we can pic one from this list: https://www.zumirent.ch/d/produkte/licht-und-grip/dauerlicht

If you don’t want to follow the link here is the list of available gear:
    Aladdin BI-FLEX
    Cineo Lightning Maverick
    Aladdin A-Lite LED Bicolor
    Kino Flo Celeb 200
    Cineo Lightning TruColor HS
    Kobold DW400
    Kobold DW200

    Thanks in advance!

Do you want a hard key, or a soft one? If a hard key, then my preference would be for a Fresnel light. None seem to be listed, but the Arri M8 comes somewhat close. Consider colored gels as well.

I am pretty new in video production, I am photographer.
Is it possible to use 3rd Kino Flo Diva 400 as a key light? I am going to shoot with my Nikon D610, 24-70mm and 50mm prime. Not very good staff for low light video. But anyway if this fluorescent light will give me enough light to get a good picture, i prefer to rent one more of them because they are 2 times cheaper than Arri M8 light. I don’t know, maybe it is sounds stupid, but it is first time when i am going to use real video light in my project. Thanks for the help and tolerance

Yes it is possible. But then you end up with essentially 3 lights of the same softness and intensity. Is that what you want? Given that this is your first attempt, invest in a bit of adventure! Music videos tend to be lit in a pretty wild way. Playing it soft and safe?

Thanks for your advice! I have booked Arri M8 light. So I think now i have pretty good lighting kit – two Kino Flo and one Arri. I will post my music video here with this lights after a week or two, maybe that will be helpful for someone.
