key frames
It’s been too long since I’ve edited with Vegas. I have version 12. But the key-frame section is missing from my FXs. How do I get it back?
I am trying to adjust color corrector from shot to shot. I cannot find an “animate” button or method.

I’m at work, where I only have VP10, which is a little different than VP12 (on home computer). Look for the little button that either says “Animate” or a round clock face, which you press to get to the keyframes in VP12.

Bingo! That’s it, the little clock, upper right hand corner…. In older versions, I believe, key-frames was always there. Not exactly an “improvement.”

OpenFX plug-ins operate this way. In OpenFX you can control exactly which parameters of an effect are keyframed. This means you need to click the clock for each item you want to keyframe.
Some video FX plug-ins in Vegas are still old school and you click the animate button to activate keyframing.
