    Hi all,
I’m playing with the title tool in Premiere 2.0. I’m trying to kern using the keyboard shortcuts as listed (alt Left arrow etc). When I select the whole word, it kerns correctly, using the arrow tool. When I use the text tool, and place the cursor between letters to kern individual letters, the shortcut doesn’t work. Any idea why?

I would assume because you haven’t selected a letter to kern?

It does the same thing whether I select the character or not…..

Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects all allow you to place the cursor between letters, and Kern….
    Premiere does not…

Can you describe what you’re doing? I can place the “I-beam” in a space and kern that space as you describe and it works as you expect.
