Kernel panics!
This morning Software Update kicked in and displayed the latest security patch. I downloaded and installed it without a second thought.
Now I can’t start Final Cut Pro 4.5 without triggering a kernel panic. I’ve had four today, which is about as much as I’d had before, ever.
OS X v. 10.4.2, dual 2GHz G5, 2 gigs RAM… if that helps…

Repair permissions on your machine and post back.
