Ken Stone like the precision editor an awful lot.
hey there, was reading this over at ken stone, found it interesting – he really likes some of the methodology in iMovie, is fond of the precision editor, it looks like the main toolbar for images photos and music will work the way its outlined here too.

on thing the phases me is that they have taken the cropping ken burns effect stuff over – they showed keyframe transforms, but really – if I want to jump in on the image a bit, I scale it to 120% and do a slide accross – I don’t crop and ask for Ken Burns. Still we’ll see. The type engine is likely to be radically improved -typing on the Canvas!! It can’t be!!

It’s over 80 pages when printed. He really liked iMovie ’09. I wonder if Randy had a word in his ear back in 2009…

Jesus Christ. Eighty pages? Thats an ars technica review. Still – he really knows his onions. I’ll be very curious to see how fond I get of the precision editor – I never used to use trim mode too much. Also we pretty much know what the music photo and type buttons are going to do as well based on that.
Although I have to say that I’m dissapointed that they’re encouraging people to source project music from the itunes directory – that’s just ruddy sloppy carry on. I know we’re out of scratch disks in a way, but that’s just bad project manangement to suggest linking to aac files in iTunes. Unless we’re going to bundled soundtrack assets? Probably not really. Not over wifi from the AppStore.
