I am trying to shoot videos of kitchens that my cabinet shop produces.

    I ‘m doing this with a Canon 70D and a 14mm2.8L lens.
The cropped sensor in combination with the wide angle lens produces the perfect perspective to capture floor and ceiling without a lot of distortion.

I typically film the room from all four corners and get about a 280º pan.
I am having a problem maintaining focus as the camera pans the room.

The problem is that the camera seems to focus differently on objects that are closer than objects that are farther away.

MY QUESTION IS: this a project that can be done with DSLR & prime lenses or do I need to be using a different kind of video capture?
