    hi

im producing an animated scrapbook which is has alot of elements in. Im having trouble with memory size because a test render of 5 secs came out as 124mb big! i have alot of video clips you see. Im aware of how to keep the elements as small as possible in photoshop ready for import. But i was wondering if you knew any tips on reducing the size of the animation within after effects. This is apart from the adjusting options in render queue. Thankyou very much

If you’re not trying to adjust the options in the render queue, then what is it that you’re trying to adjust? What is it that you are measuring that is 124 MB? I don’t understand what you’re asking. Can you explain your workflow so we can get a better idea of what you’re trying to do?

sorry i have a habit of not explaining myself properly.

i figured out the problem why my animation was so big since then.

The 124mb was the size of the rendered video by the way.

    just one quick question

does things like precomping help reduce the size the the rendered video?

    thanks again
