I’m editing footage for a client that they shot in 1440×1080. The raw footage plays in 16:9, and that’s how I edited it in the FCP 7 timeline. The problem is that the final product that I exported continues to look perfectly fine in preview and Quicktime Player, but is squashed to 4:3 everywhere else (VLC Player, Media Player Classic, and Youtube). My basic assumption is just that these other players change the 1.33 pixels to square while Quicktime does not, but I can’t figure out how to get the video to keep a consistent aspect ratio. Thanks in advance!
