keep having out of memory errors when i have 201GB of free space on disc
im working on a jpeg +song and some video footage sequence and i keep having trouble with teh ram preview displaying out of memory messages when i still have plenty

i meant i have 3 Gb usable ram

If you only have 3GB of RAM, After Effects is starved for memory.
Your options are
1: reduce the preview resolution (see the options in the transport control panel where the RAM preview button resides)
2: reduce number of frames previewed by using Shift-RAM preview and setting it to skip every other frame.
3GB is not enough to work effectively in After Effects, you’ll run into many memory issues.
