kbd shortcut for “go to next event”
Is there such a thing?
I use keypad 9 but this I have to hit it twice to actually move to the next clip.

Did you try Alt + Ctrl + right arrow?
(Make sure to select the right track containing the events).
Holding the Shift key in addition will select the events.
Other great shortcuts are listed in the “Help > Keyboard shortcuts” menu.
