kaleidoscope/mandala effect? quickly?
Hi, I’m an after effects beginner trying to make a quick opening spot. I’m trying to take a single 2-d image and make it multiply and move outwards, so it looks like a moving mandala or kaleidoscope. Something like this but with objects instead of colors (and better music):

I am messing around with various parameters and I’ll figure something out but if you have some words of advice I’d appreciate it, thanks very much in advance.

Searching for ‘mandala’ in After Effects Help shows that there’s a mandala animation preset built right in.
