    Hi, All —

I’m looking at upgrading my next production to HDV and am considering the JVC JY-HD10U camera because of the price and the progressive scan (which should make keying less artifact-ridden). I can’t seem to uncover whether or not Premiere Pro will handle the 30P. Currently I have Premiere Pro 1.5.1, though I haven’t edited any HDV footage at all.

    So, what’s the deal?

    Thanks, in advance!

Aspect HD from CineForm is what you’d have to add to PPro 2 to work with the JVC’s various video modes.

PPro 2 only handles 25 and 30i HDV2 out of the box.

Thanks, Tim. I have the Cineform Codec that came with PP 1.5.1, and an Adobe person told me that it would work with PP2, so will that handle the 30P of the JVC system?

    Thanks again,
    Dex

Is there a 30p project setting? I can’t remember what the feature set was on the 1.5.1 upgrade…
