    Hi All

    Wanted to know

I have a a feature shot on JVC HDGY 100 and wish to use a FCP, Final Touch Workflow

I wish to use the SDI so that I get the full bandwith and quality.

Also I wish to use Multibridge extreme.

What will I require Luminer etc etc, I have not been able to understand

    regards
    Sanjay

If you capture the analog out from the HDV and transcode it with the Multibridge to uncompressed HD, you won’t need Lumiere, because you’re not trying to work with the MPEG file that was originally shot. But transcoding isn’t going to improve the picture in any event if that’s the reason you think you need to do this. You’ll also need a very fast disk array to capture and playback uncompressed HD, as well as a ton of storage space. Figure in the area of 4 gigs per minute stored on an array that can maintain 180mb/sec or more.

LumiereHD will be needed if you want to stay native HDV.

    Did you shoot in 24P?

If you shot in 30P you won’t need any 3rd party software.

Yes Shot in 24p wish to use Final Touch later and then do a reverse telecine ( film recording process)

I thought getting SDI in will be better than a Analog.

    I have a fast disk array – Huge 4Gb single port 2TB

Can I grab SDI in from JVC and do the process , I guess as Jerry says I dont need Luminer

    regards
