Very happy with the video quality of my camera, but using the standard mic (included) produce “sometimes” distorted audio …. if you see the distorted audio waves on the timeline appears with a very low level and with constant “clipping” on portions with no audio….. is like having “noise” on very low levels of audio ….
If you record high levels (auto enabled) everything is OK..

No cheking with other (or external) mics yet….

Any recomendations on this problem would be greatly apreciated:
    – could it be the mic ?
    – some settings on the audio menu ?
    – could it be malfunction on the camera ?

    Regards

When I bought my Hd-110 I noticed right away that that included mic weighs about as much as a butterfly. I’ve never had an initial judgement of a mic based on its weight before, but when I listened to it I immediately replaced it with a good quality mic. So, my only advice is, the mic sucks, replace it.

These mics, as with all stock mics are not designed for critical use- or use at all.

    We use the AT-897

It’s a completely useless mic imo.

I have JVC GY-HD110u camera and I am using it a lot for my SD or HDV projects.
I recently found out that when I shoot in DV mode the audio keeps cutting off.
It is fine so far and there is no problem with audio at all when I shoot in HDV mode.

Also I just realized that in DV mode there is letter ‘L’ right next to ’48K’ of audio monitor bars.
But I do not see the letter ‘L’ in HDV mode. Manual says L is for audio locked in video. What’s that supposed to mean? Does it have something to do with cutting audio?

This problem drives me crazy. Help, anyone?
