JVC HD BR50 – Deck In Bad State
We are having continuous issues where we try to capture 720P HDV footage with Premiere Pro and Cineform Aspect HD and we keep getting intermittent errors. Most notably that the deck (it actually says “camera”) is in a “Bad State” Sometimes it works well and sometimes it doesn’t. It will capture fine for a while and then this happens. Tapes are good and timecode is good, so no issue there. Any thoughts?

Are you going in via firewire or a card? What version of firmware does the deck have?
If you are using a card you should use the latest firmware rev. (1.08). If you are using firewire use 1.03 or 1.06.
