Ok, I know that I’m doing something wrong but I just don’t know what it is.

The client has shot on the JVC GY-HM700UXT at 720p @ 30fps. I copied the folder off the card and on to a hard drive. I can drag & drop the Quicktimes into FCP and play them with no issues. When I tried to use the Log and Transfer tool in FCP to bring the footage in, I’d get an error that the files are not supported. Now, I did download JVC plugin 1.00.01 and install it. I do see in the Log & Transfer preferences that the JVC codec is there.

What I’d like to know is how to get the clips to come in with the timecode? It’s not a big deal now, but in the future I know I’ll need that info.

    Thanks for your time.

    Hi Jason,
I haven’t use the JVC, but for what I’ve read is just EX-1 although it doesn’t comes wrapped as MP4.
I think that you just need to drag de clips to the FC Browser.
The TC should be embed in the files.

Yes, you can just drag the Quicktime in FCP but the timecode for each clip starts at 00:00:00:00.
