    JVC GY-HD250 into FCP v6

I shot some footage in the HDV format and want to get it into FCP 6. I’ve tried every combination but FCP isn’t seeing the camera and won’t let me capture. Does anyone know the correct settings of the camera and FCP to make this work through firewire? Thank you.

Unfortunately this is true. I experienced this last week. Not sure what the problem is but it is very annoying. I will try and get some information on this and if you find anything that works please inform us. Best of luck.

I’m in the identical hell at this very moment. 6.0.5 and QT 7.5. FCP won’t ID the HD200 at all.

Sony in my future. I walked away from JVC 20 years ago and just came back to buy this camera because of its form factor.

Sony EX-3 or even a used EX-1 here I come.

Its been a craptacular day and night.

The only work around at this point is a Firestore.
This is really a crummy situation for JVC users who depend on FCP.
Sorry man, best of luck to you.
