JVC-GY HD100u to Kona LH
Posted by Michael Allen on June 2, 2006 at 1:31 pmCan I capture from this camera into Kona and get directly to DVCProHD codec and bypass the HDV codec entirely?

June 2, 2006 at 1:35 pmAbsolutely, just send a Component or SDI feed from the camera to the Kona LH and select an easy setup something like AJA Kona 1080i DVCPro HD (insert frame rate here). The LH will automatically convert your footage to the DVCPro HD codec on the way in.
I would suggest you try a few test captures first oh and be sure to change the Device Control over to Firewire if that’s how you plan to control that camera.
