    Hi there,

I have finally purchased a broadcast monitor (JVC DT-E21L4) to use with Davinci Resolve 10 for grading.
I have an iMac, and have connected the JVC monitor to my iMac using a HDMI cable. What else do I need to do to get this setup working? Obviously resolve does not recognizes my display monitor. Any help is really appreciate it.

    Thank you,
    Sam

You need a blackmagic video card to run with Resolve. Blackmagic Mini Monitor will run you the cheapest.

Select your OS, Product Series (Resolve) and Product (Resolve software)
    Download the Configuration Guide.

Also consult the DaVinci Basics andConfiguration forum…

Wait! What? There’s an entire forum devoted to configuration issues?

Thank you Jordan! Appreciate the info. I talked to B&H sales rep and they suggested the Blackmagic Design Intensity Extreme HDMI and Analog Capture & Playback Device – Thunderbolt.

I am expecting it in the next two days.

    Can’t wait to begin grading!!

    Hi again,

I got my Blackmagicdesign Intensity Extreme in the mail. I connected it to my iMac vis a Thunderbolt connection. I then used the HDMI IN on the Extreme to connect to HDMI on my monitor.

When I start Davinci Resolve, it still does not recognize my monitor. I checked Davinci’s preferences, but there’s nothing I can set.

Can someone please point me to the right direction as how to get Davinci to recognize my JVC-E21L4?

    Thanks,
    Sam
