    I’m trying to dump a project from FCP to my deck via firewire. I’m in the 60hz setting, IEEE is in HDV, Input is HDV/DV. I get no signal on the deck. I’ve tried setting the input to Line and that does not help. Tried a regular DV tape, no help. I’m lost.

    Anyone else have this problem?

    it must be in HDV input not line. thats the composite video setting.

    also check that the 1394 is to HDV and not DV.

    check that the deck is in 720P or Native mode in the menu.

    that should work.

    thanks. actually found the problem in FCP. somethng about my external video, i think.
