  JVC BR-DV3000u, all of a sudden won’t record

  So we’ve had two of these decks for several years. I’d say the better part of ten years. All of a sudden both won’t record and no matter what signal type we put into it, REC INHIBIT goes on and it won’t record. It plays back fine. We have it hooked up to AVID systems without a hitch for that period of time. Both decks are doing the same thing now.

  I know there have been some issues with these decks, but thought I’d bring up this new issue regarding REC INHIBIT.

  Any thoughts? I’m thinking it’s just old and they are getting to that age, etc. We still have one client that we do SD material for courts and it’s our no frills system. Thanks in advance.
