  JVC 251: HDV-XDcam

  Just a question about 1080i format.

  The JVC-251 camera’s we use in multicam situation and after the Panasonic 400 mixer we have a Sony EX30 recording in 1080i50 format.

  The camera’s have the ability to record 1080i50 0n Harddisk (not on tape).
  We want to use this for iso recording of the camera’s.
  My questions are:
  – is it possible to record in a multicam situation (with the JVC- rmp250 CCU) iso on a harddisk connected to the firewire output?
  – is there a difference in quality between the XDcam EX30 recordings and the recordings done directly to the harddisk connected to the camera (HDV)
  – can bot formats without any problem being editted on the same timeline in FCP 7?

  Lots of questions, hope someone has the answer….
