  JVC 1.33 Mega Pixel: Mini DV Tapes Not Showing

  I’ve got an old stack of Mini DV tapes from 2010 that I’m wanting to capture to my hard drive. When I try each tape, they play through the timecode and the date they were shot etc. But nothing appears on the LCD screen.

  Do I need to use the same model of camera they were shot on, or are the tapes a lost cause? I’ve tried about 10 of them now. They do play but I’m getting no sound or picture.
