  Just moved to Avid 2018.12.3… “creating bin snapshot for background save” message annoying…

  I am running Avid 2018.12.3 on an iMac 27-inch, macOS High Sierra 10.13.6

  No problems at all EXCEPT, this new “background save” feature isn’t happening in the background.

  I have my autosave set for every 5 minutes because I am paranoid, so I was used to the “Saving bin” dialog coming up a lot and stopping my work… it only lasted a few seconds and was not a big deal. But now this “”creating bin snapshot for background save” message actually takes quite a bit LONGER to do the save… and it is certainly NOT in the background. A fill bar comes up with a countdown. Weird.

  Any suggestions?
