Hi all, I’m trying to achieve the effect found in the videogames “JUST DANCE 2014” for Wii, Playstation etc..
You can find an example here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1vg46gEI8E

My interest is trying to recreate the look of the people dancing: how can I achieve this “Plastic Look”? how can I make their skin totally white? I’ve tried isolating the skin and curving the tone up but It fails.
    Any suggestion?

    Thanks for the help
    Thomas

Isolate the skin as cleanly as possible using the keying and matte refinement tools in AE. Use that as a track matte for a white solid.

In the behind the scenes videos you can see that their skin is in fact painted white and they wear white skin suits under their outfits. I presume the editors then key out the green screen and use color keys on the different elements of clothing to increase saturation and to change color of some of the elements etc. Pretty neat really. Also there appears to be other processing like contrast etc.
