  • JUST CHECKING — FCP 4.5 on TIGER work OK?

I’d like to use my Kona 2 card with my new Dual 2.7 G5 with FCP 4.5 on Tiger. Is this possible? (I’m hoping to hold off on the jump to FCP 5 a bit longer…) Any real-world experiences welcome.

    Thanks in advance.

The most stable FCP 4.5 config I’ve found is Mac OS 10.3.8 with whatever the latest QT 6.x is.

The Kona 2 works fine on my G5 which has both Tiger / FCP 5 and Panther / FCP 4.5 running. I’ve got each installed on a different drive while I make the transition over to FCP 5.

I think you’d be OK to go with 10.4.1 and FCP 4.5 as long as you’ve done a clean installation of it all. Start with an erased drive.
