Junked cameras for Parts, EX3
After my post last week about trashing an EX3 Connector and the $600 replacement board Fiasco, I decided to ask.
Anyone know where I could find a “Junked” EX3 for parts.I bought a black magic box as a work around, but I would still like to repair the camera. The repair is simple, I can do the soldering myself or pay and engineer about 3 hours labor to do it. But paying $600 for a rarely used board feels stupid. So Anyone have a lead on a Junked EX3?

Hi Joe, I responded to your earlier post and stated that I wanted to try the Blackmagic Design SDI to HDMI adaptor. I’m assuming that that’s the box you’re referring to. Is there something about it you don’t like other than the fact that it’s an add-on to the camera? I’m still considering it.

I was looking at an AJA HDSDI – Component analog box (also an HDSDI pass through) I’m still looking at the various boxes, I don’t mind camera add-ons at all. My concern with all of these boxes is field durability and power. I’d rather the system run of an internal battery rather than my D-Tap.
