    Hello everyone.

I have encountered a problem I have not yet seen and can’t seem to put my finger on what is going on.

I have been using Elemen3D and was having problem with mu export I noticed frame ghosting.

A frame from another part of my sequence, and frames that do not exist.

I thought it was the plugin… wrote to videocopilot they game me an update software but nothing.

It does not happen all the time but more often then not.

    OSX 10.8 last update.
After Effects updated to last one
    16GB RAM
    SSD Drive
    Macbook Pro 2.6 Ghz

    Thanks for any advice.

try choosing edit>purge>all when you see this issue and see if that helps… it sounds like there are cached frames from a previous render are making their way into the current render, and purging the caches may help.

Try turning off Mult Processor mode and clearing all caches.

it looks a bit like what happens when your video card over heats… element will stress your gpu, so that may be what’s happening.

with a macbook, i t wouldn’t be easy to open it up and blow it out with some compressed air to make sure the fans are all working well, but you may be able to use a utility like menu meters or istat to monitor the temperature of the gpu (you’d need to heck to see if they monitor the macbook’s gpu, or the bay/zone that the gpu is located).

there’s also a utility called smcFanControl that may be able to ramp up the fans on the macbook to keep it running cooler (i use it on an older mac pro).

Thank you all for your input.

Turning off MultiProcessing “Render Multiple Frames Simultaneously” Fixed my problem. tested out 3 times after restart both computer and software and it worked all times.

Thank you this was getting a bit annoying.
