howdy- i have exported a FCP QT for burn in DVD studio pro. one shot in the whole piece (which plays at 3 seperate times) gets jumpy for some reason. it is letterboxed and you can clearly see it jumping up and down while on screen. I went back to my FCP project and it doesn’t jump..any idea what this is and how to fix?

    thnaks,
    thom

How are you exporting your movie? Are you going thru compressor? If not, it sounds like your fields are getting reversed. I had this problem with Compressor recently. Check on that and see if that doesn’t solve your problem.

i did compress in compressor. how could it affect fields in only 3 instances (of the same shot)? shouldn’t the whole export be off if fields were reveresed?..was your whole export off?

No, just parts of it. Yeah, I know… it sounds really strange. But my solution to the problem was to make a copy of the settings in my Custom settings folder and select the encoder tab and made sure that my frame rate was 29.97, the aspect ratio was 4:3, and field dominance was bottom first. Since then, I haven’t seen this issue.
