I’ve got a problem with a logo jumping during some transitions. It will sit there in the corner just fine for most of the ad. Then during some transitions it will “shrink” by a couple scanlines. It will then “grow” again on the transition after that. It doesn’t happen on any particular transition or piece of video, but when it happens it is the same every time you play back.

I thought maybe it was a render problem so I killed the render files and re-rendered with no change. In one particular ad, the transition was a cross dissolve. So I put the two pieces of video on separate lines and keyframed the opacity to simulate a cross dissolve. That actually worked. But I can’t do that for all transitions here.

Is there something I’m doing wrong? I’ve tried a few different file types including jpg, tif, psd, and png. They all have the same effect. I hate having something that silly spoil the whole ad.

    Any help is appreciated!

How is the logo applied? Is it on a seperate layer over the live action material, like a station bug in the corner? If so, you might try nesting the non-logo material and then applying the logo over the nest.

That is how it’s applied in this case. I guess that’s one thing I haven’t tried yet. I’ll see if that helps.

    Thanks!

Have you tried exporting the transition as a QT and see if the problem remains?
I’ve had similar problems with Freeze frames, and it went away on export.
