    Hi,
posted this on the Encore forum:

Pro timeline through Procoder export and then import MPEG into Encore. The MPEG plays perfectly well in Media Player and Power DVD on the PC. The burnt DVD however judders in a few sections where i have stills – single frame holds that have both stationary and crawling text over them. I’ve tried Optomise stills on and off in Pro and upper and lower fields first in Procoder – all play fine on PC but judder on set top DVD player. Any ideas?

Eventualy exported frame hold as .avi to After Effects, deinterlaced with Twixtor deinterlacer then re-imported to PPro. The DVD then worked fine. However at no point could i see any changes until playing the final DVD. Does PPro have a better way of dealing with stills? Or do i have to go through the AE rigmarole each time?

    Thanks,
    Tim

What are the properties of the stills? If the resolution is too high (>300 dpi), then you might run into a couple of problems

    Hi,
sorry – i didn’t explain myself clearly enough. The stills are actually frame-holds from a single frame of standard PAL DV footage.
