    Hello all,

    I am editing a video in Sony Vegas PRO 9.0c (64-bit) on a Sony VAIO CW (Windows 7, 64-bit, 4.00 GB Ram, Intel CORE i3 M330 @ 2.13GHz)

I have a few JPGS that I am inserting into a roughly 2 minute video that will be aired on the web (YouTube, websites, etc).

I am having consistent problems with the JPGS. Every time I put photo in, instead of rendering the photo VEGAS just throws up black.

The photos vary in size but all are less than 1920×1080 at a 90 pixel/inch.

I have gone through these forums but I cannot seem to find an answer to this problem. Any thoughts???

    THANK YOU.

That sounds very odd. Where is your Dynamic RAM value?
Have you installed any codec paks?

Make sure the JPGs aren’t in CMYK format.

    Hi,

    Thanks for the reply.

My dynamic RAM value is set at 350 (of a possible 2990).

I remember installing a codec, but not sure, still checking on that.

The frustrating thing happening today is when I get one photo to work (by deleting the one in the timeline, and replacing it) a previously working JPG photo will suddenly stop working. Or just turn red in the timeline. And sometimes they will turn red in the timeline but will still render if I do a test rendering.

    It is so bizarre…..

    Cheers,
    John

    Hi,

    Thank you for the reply.

I did check, and all the photos are in RGB.

And still having problems with the photos either turning red in the timeline, or not turning red (but no photo renders) or the photo turns red in the timeline, but Vegas still renders the photo.

Again, all the JPGs I am using are under 1920×1080 and 90 pixels/inch.

    Cheers,
    JP
