    Hi,

I am looking for the correct setting to set for my JPEGS in Photoshop before I import the stills into FCP6. The video files/ JPEGS are from the 5D MK II therefore being a 1080p HD project.

    Thanks in advance
    Daniel

1920×1080 square pixels is 1:1 – if you plan on doing any moves on your graphics double the pixel dimensions.

Thanks for the quick reply, so if Im planning on adding any keyframe/ motion on the jpeg I need to import the original file at 3840 x 2160 form PS/ Aperture?

    cheers

Thats sounds about right, but you shouldn’t go over 4000 pixels. Also, don’t go any bigger than you have to because that can really start to bog down FCP.

I would much rather use AE to animate pictures then render out a video for FCP.
