January 22, 2013 at 6:01 pmI certainly don’t think so… the K5600 800w ballast is only for the Joker-Bug 800
Now the Joker-Bug 400w ballast can be used with either the 400 or 200w Joker heads… but I don’t belive the 800w ballast is interchangabe with any other heads. It doesn’t have any switchable wattages on it, and I belive it uses a different head cable (or at least a different connector).

January 22, 2013 at 6:05 pmThank you. we recently revieved two HMI joker bugs the 800 and the 400 but only one ballest. looks like we are going to have to spend the big money to get a second ballest.

January 22, 2013 at 6:11 pmThat’s a shame… you might write K5600 and ask if there is an adapter head cable that will let you use the one ballast with either. It might exist, though I’ve never seen one.
I LOVE Joker-Bugs… especially the 800. It really has the punch of a 1200w HMI, at about a third the size and weight.
Unfortunately though everything from K5600 is painfully expensive. You’d think they were made of gold. Great stuff, though.
