Is there a way to join through edit? I accidentally cut a compound clip a couple times and want to join it back but I can’t figure out how. Plus all the other clips that are nailed to the accidentally cut clips are synced to them now. So deleting them and pulling the tail of the first compound clip over want really work with out messing up my edit.

Another question. Can I lock a clip so I can’t accidentally cut.

    What am I missing?

Nope there is no join edit. What do you mean by lock a clip?

Like lock it so you can’t effect it in anyway. Like you can lock a track in fcp7 or lock a layer in After Effects. Lock haha.

Not really. But you can group a selection into a Compound Clip which at least groups those clips into a single clip and holds their positions relative to each other.

Yeah but compound clips can still be cut on accident. I was hoping I could lock them down that’s all. Seems like a basic function. I don’t know one program where objects/layers/tracks can’t be locked down.

I can work around it… ha
