    Hi,

I’m working thru Joe Chao’s tutorial – part two of the ‘genie’ series. I’m down to the circle of light under the lamp. Everything looks good, but I’m not able to make the light beams visible (upward out of the circle). Joe says that “If you Observe the alpha channel carefully, you can find that the light is too thin to be seen. So we fix with a filter curve” I’ve adjusted the filter curve as Joe show’s it, and applied the Glow effect, but still can’t see the light beams coming out of the circle under the lamp.

I guess my questions are – how can I observe the alpha channel carefully? What does it mean that the light is “too thin to be seen”? and How does using the filter curve fix it?

    Thanks to all
