    Hi,

When ever I playback a preview(even with ram preview) I have jittery or skip like play back. Even in the rendered version.

And it isn’t in random places for that session. It is jerky for that video until I close After Effects and start it back up. Then it is skipping in entirely new places. I have to open and close after effects a dozen times before I get a time that has little to no jerky play back.

And by jerky I mean plays a frame, goes back a frame, goes forward 2 frames, and back again. Stuff like that.

This is very frustrating and after searching for week son the internet how to fix it, I have come to the conclusion that this only happens to me, heh.

    Someone please help.

Hmm. I experienced this with titles that i made in AE and then brought to FCP. They Played fine in the viewer window in FCP, yet once I dropped them into a timeline that matched all the settings it strobed randomly. One setting I didn’t check was the codec. Apparently in my situation by exporting as an animation sequence and playing in a HDV1080p24 timeline, the video would strobe, so I exported from after effects using a 1080p24 codec. Not sure why this would be a factor but apparently it made a difference in my project and worked…A small detail and huge annoyance. If someone could give some insight of why the codec would make this defference, please let me know. I have exported animation codecs before and they have worked in an HDV1080P24 Timeline
