Hello, I am pretty much a noob when it comes to Vegas, so I apologize if/when I use incorrect terminology.

I am editing a 30 minute long short film (filmed on a Canon t3i), and have found that Vegas ( I am using Vegas Movie Studio HD Platinum 10) can’t take more than a certain number of clips without crashing. So I have had to edit the film scene by scene (5 mins apiece approx.), and render them individually; then I import all those to a new project, where I can add music, etc, before rendering the final product. This is fine, but when I DO render off the final film the upper portion of my frame (maybe 20%) jitters, as if that section was a few frames behind/ahead of the rest. Very distracting, as you can imagine. Does anyone know why?

(I will attempt to list my settings etc below. Again, I’m a noob, so I may not get all these right/may miss the something important.)

VIDEO SIZE – 1920×1080 (with a letterbox added in Vegas to make it “more widescreen”. Without the black bars the video is 1920×900)
FIELD ORDER – Upper Field first
    FRAME RATE – 23.976fps
PIXEL ASPECT RATIO – 1.0000 (Square)
    DEINTERLACE METHOD – Blend fields
SAVE AS TYPE – Sony AVC

I would be EXTREMELY grateful for any help!

Actually I just realized that the first time that I rendered the videos they were set as Upper Field First, and the final project Progressive Scan. Would that mess it up? What’s the difference? And what Bit Rate would I use?
