I have created a motion menu for Encore 1.5 using After Effects. A series of still images scaled down to about 40% scroll across the screen from right to left like a conveyer belt. The problem is that they are very very jittery once I burn them to DVD. Oddly enough, If I import the After Effects Comp into Premier Pro and render it, it looks great on the monitor. It only looks bad on the monitor after it has been burned to DVD. Any ideas?

Whenever you scale down stills in AE they’re going to look jittery.

OPTION 1: The problem is that the stills have way too much detail in them. The detail jumps from frame to frame.

It would look much better if you scaled down your stills in Photoshop or some similar graphics program and used the scaled down versions in AE.

OPTION 2: The problem is that viewing it on a video monitor (with the lovely fields etc.) A detail is showing up on one pass and not the other. It’s the same reason you can’t have a 1 pixel line. Introduce a 1 pixel vertical blur on your pictures and that should help.

One (or both) of these should help.
