Whenever i export my video to dvd, there are certain parts of my video that jitter, particularly on freeze frames. i mixed down all my tracks then exported a quicktime reference for my dvd studio pro.

when i play my sequence in the timeline on my client ntsc monitor, i don’t see any jittery interlacing problems. its only when i export to dvd that i see the problems. what can i do to fix this problem? why is this happening?

Interlace sources will always jitter when there is a freeze frame. It doesn’t happen in the Avid timeline because only 1 field is sent to the client monitor when stopped or paused.

Unless the sources are progressive and kept progressive all the way to DVD, there will always be jitter on a DVD freeze frame.
