Jitter when rendering
Hi,
I have a created a 3 minute project that contains music, text and DV video which I captured via firewire. Everything previews perfectly and renders at low resolution flawlessly. I am now trying to do a full resolution render (e.g. NTSC DV into .avi file) and am finding jitter in the motion sequences of the video. That is when someone is talking and stationary it looks okay, but when they wave their arm, I see jitters on the arm. I have tried setting it for progressive scan and upping the video rendering quality to “Best”, but the problem remains. I am at a loss about this. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to resolve the issue?
Interestingly, I just did a test rendering in MPEG-2 with MainConcept MPEG-2 codec and 2 passes. The piece rendered perfectly with no jitter. Any ideas about why AVI is having such problems? My vendor who is broadcasting the clip prefers AVI. Any thoughts would be appreciated.
If it matters, I am using Vegas Pro 8.0b. The system is a Pentium 3.4 GHz Pentium 4 and 2 GB of RAM. I am using Windows Media Player 11 to view the video.
