I’m just wondering why we get a “tearing” in the top 20% of the picture that is output via SDI from our LHe card when playing XDCAM EX 35mbs footage shot on a Sony F3 or F700? It can’t be our system; we have Octo-Mac Pro with 16gb RAM, 9tb RAID, Quadro FX4800, etc.

Is it because the AJA can’t process the compressed XDCAM codec quick enough via SDI? This tearing happens on vanilla footage with no effects or filter applied.

Without the need to monitor via SDI, I don’t see what “benefit” the LHe is playing here. Or is there something I can tweak to get smooth 1080 playback?
