    I posted this on the Varicam forum as well, but no answers yet. I use a Varicam at 24p, and notice whenever I do a nice slow pan, it looks good off the tape and in FCP, but when I convert down to DVD using DVDSP, it’s jerky. Any thoughts on smoothing that out?

    How does other motion in your shots look? If someone waves an arm or walks through a shot, is it also shakey? This could be the result of incorrect field order if you see this effect on all motion. If it’s just the pan, I don’t know. Also, it would help if you explained how you encoded the mv2 – settings, etc.
