    Hi Guys,

    As always thanks for reading.

I am slowing down my footage captured from a Z1 using the cineframe option. Only trouble is when I do this I get like a jerking on the footage? Has anyone seen this or know what the problem is? It kind of looks like flicker but isn’t.

Has anyone encountered this problem when slowing down footage?

    Many thanks. Jon

    Jon,

Premiere Pro 2.0 and below have terrible slow-motion. However, with the CS3 version, you should observe much better results.

Strange never had a problem before! Do you know if my Look Suite 2 will work with CS3 OK, i.e. just transfer over the plug-in folder?

In PP2 the interpolation gets fusked up in extremely slow frame (speed) rates. I would recommend doing the effect in Aftereffects instead of Premier to give yourself more lee-way in regards to the frame blending.

I once had that problem. It is depending on how the camera was set when shooting. It’s a problem with the raw footage and not premiere. Anyhow, this is what I did that helped: (I use PPRO 2)

    1. Right click a clip and choose “field options”. (This will only work on a source clip and not a clip from a nested sequence).
    2. Choose “flicker removal” and OK.

    That’s it. Hope it helps.
