Jayse Hanson’s tutorial on growth
Hey there! First up, no I’m not pimping anything here!
I watched Jayse’s tutorial on growing elements quite a while back, and thought it would be cool to do sometime, just as a fun thing, since I don’t have a whole bunch of need for the pretty things like that. The tutorial came back to me last week, though, when I saw Digital Juice’s print collection. It has three separate scroll collections for sale. Each one is a Photoshop file of the stuff Jayse used in his tutorial… Vines, ornate looking corner pieces, etc. Whereas Jayse used fonts that created the scroll work, this one has it all ready for you. The benefit is that all the pieces are already in Photoshop layers, eliminating the need for you to go in and shave each piece down and put it on its own layer.
I got bored today and played around with it, after re-looking up the tutorial. Took about an hour to come up with some really cool looking stuff!
Again, not pimping, just saying that if you have need, these scroll things take out one step of the process for you and makes it a bit easier.
